Sonoma Golf Club has graciously stepped in to host the 2014 playing of the Stocker Cup. The tournament’s long-term home — The Preserve Golf Club in Carmel — is experiencing the effects of California’s drought and will be under maintenance in October.
Below are details about this beautiful Sam Whiting layout that has played host to the Champions Tour’s Charles Schwab Cup. Sonoma Golf Club has also hosted the Alister Mackenzie Intercollegiate, and the 2014 NCPGA Stroke Play Championship. It is situated on a gorgeous rolling landscape in Northern California’s Wine Country that is dotted with old-growth oaks, framed by golden grasses.
The Stocker Cup will be played at the tips for Mid-Am A Players, with the exact same Friday-Saturday-Sunday pin positions that were used by the Champions Tour. For course details, including directions and contact information, visit the Sonoma Golf Club information page on AmateurGolf.com.
